Annuncio vobis gaudium magnum, Habemus Papam!
The cardinals have this evening discerned that Robert Cardinal Prevost is the Pope that the Good SHepherd has chosen for His Church. Let us accompany him every step of his ministry with our prayers that he may have the heart of the Good Shepherd. The new Holy Father has chosen the name Leo, making him the Fourteenth Pope to bear that name. The last pope to bear that name (Leo XIII) was Pope during the beginning of the Twentieth Century famous for his encyclical Rerum Novarum which formally began Catholic Social Teaching.

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth. O, God, who taught the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant that by the gift of the same Spirit we may be always truly wise and ever rejoice in His consolation, we make our prayer through Christ Our Lord, Amen
